Sarah Goldston earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with a minor in chemistry from the University
of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2011. After college, she attended Southeastern Seminary to take relevant counseling courses
and then transitioned towards her career as a PA. She received her Masters in Physician Assistant Studies at Gardner-Webb
University in 2016. After graduation, Sarah worked for several years in a rural family practice in eastern NC, where she gained
broad medical knowledge and experience. In 2020 she transitioned from family medicine to the speciality of psychiatry, which
she has found to be her calling and passion. She strives to always provide compassionate, comprehensive, and evidence-based
psychiatric care to her patients.
Sarah is excited
to join the team and Piedmont Psychiatric Associates and works collaboratively with Dr. Marshall and other clinical staff
to provide quality mental health care to our patients. This care includes the evaluation, diagnosis, and management (including
education, medication prescribing and monitoring) of adults with mental health problems and psychiatric disorders with the
goal of helping to restore them to their highest level of functioning.
Sarah is licensed by the North Carolina Medical Board and is nationally certified. She is a member of American Academy
of Physician Associates and North Carolina Academy of Physician Associates.
