I hold a Master of Science degree in Counseling from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, having been awarded in 2000. While at UNCG, I was a member of the Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society. I am also a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC# 4739). Recently, I joined the Piedmont Psychiatric Associate practice; however, I previously worked with Family Service of the Piedmont in the Greensboro/High Point area for 5.5 years and then provided Case Management with Aetna for 3.5 year.  My areas of service include individual and family counseling for adolescents and adults. Special interests are: Mood Disorders (Depression and Anxiety), Women’s Issues, College and Career concerns, Trauma, Grief and Loss, Life Transitions and Relationship Issues.  No matter your intended reason for seeking therapy, I believe that with a truer sense of self awareness and acceptance you will be better equipped to be pro-active in your life choices, as well as understanding how to relate to others. Therapy allows you a protected place to explore your reactions, thoughts, and feelings, as well as an opportunity to practice new skills to utilize for yourself and other relationships.
