I'm excited to be a part of Piedmont Psychiatric Associates. I earned a Master of Science in Mental Health/Rehabilitation
counseling in 2013, with certification in Rehabilitation Psychology and Behavioral Medicine, as well as Rehabilitation Psychology
and Behavioral Medicine from North Carolina A&T State University. I graduated from High Point University with a Bachelor
of Arts in Human Relations in 2010. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (#10908) through the North Carolina Board of Licensed
Professional Counselors and a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor through the Commission on Rehabilitation Counselor Certification.
I have experience working with both children and adults in outpatient settings. I've conducted individual therapy as well
as facilitated group therapy. I've provided crisis services, employment services, and have extensive experience working with
individuals with disabilities. My most recent position allowed me to work exclusively with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder
and their families. I believe a trusting working relationship between counselor and client is important I strive to achieve
that collaboration. I am comfortable working with individuals from diverse cultures and lifestyles and feel being accepting,
objective, respectful, and genuine are characteristics essential in working with clients. Overall, counseling is a process
in which you gain knowledge and tools that will facilitate continued growth and development after therapy has ended. I look
forward to the opportunity to work with you !
